There’s quite a bit of confusion in relation to a person’s eligibility to provide Specialist Disability Accommodation (also known as SDA).
To be clear, SDA is a registration group that you may include when applying for NDIS registration. It’s not a separate provider type, but falls within the purview of the NDIS and persons applying to become SDA providers are also applying to become registered NDIS providers.
That said, the NDIS has designed a separate process for those persons looking to apply only to become SDA providers. That is, they are excluded from having to comply with the Core Module practice standards and only need to comply with the SDA practice standards.
